Restaurant review: MySushi Mere pst



I visited MySushi (Tallinn, Rotermanni, address: Mere pst. 4) already twice during this summer, so I will write about what I have tried in there. Link: http://mere.mysushi.ee/

The first time we visited it on the Tallinn Maritime festival, cause we wanted to try their`s dessert, which I already heard about on Facebook. Since I was with a baby stroller, we decided to sit on the terrace, the weather was also nice. At the entrance we were greeted by waitresses, we could choose a table by ourself. We took a table, waitress brought a menu, which is provided on the tablets with pictures and descriptions. In addition to dessert, I decided to try Caesar salad with king prawns.

I took a salted caramel latte as drink. Actually I do not drink coffee but I really wanted to try this latte. For dessert I took the Sous bois cake. My friend took panna-cotta and strawberry home-made lemonade (Strawberry Love).

We added our order to the basket on the tablet and handed it over to the waitress. Drinks arrived first and then salad. Salted caramel latte is unreal! This is now one of my favorite drinks (and one of the reasons why I came back here a second time), the taste was wonderful. My friend's lemonade was pretty sweet for me, mason jaris trendy.

Our desserts were brought together with the salad. Honestly, I did not like the salad at all. There was absolutely no flavor in it, a simple salad, a little shrimp, a Parmesan, a boring sauce. Absolutely nothing was memorable, so the second time I would not take this salad. And it looked completely different than in the picture on the menu (but actually everything was different from the pictures) :D

My dessert was delicious, the sweetness was diluted with a layer of jam, but the size of the cake was too big for me and I could not eat it all :) I did not try panna cotta but my friend liked it. The waitresses were polite and served us quickly. Some new clients sat at the next table and wanted to smoke but then they saw us with a stroller and moved to the back tables, very nice of them, thank you :)

The second time I got here without a child and with another friend, literally next day. And this time we came here for dessert (I really wanted that salted caramel latte and try other desserts from their menu) but since I almost did not eat in the previous restaurant we visited before MySushi, I decided to order sushi, they also had a 50% discount campaign for all sushi from the menu.

This time no one greeted us, although there were many waitresses. We chose the table, sat down, there was one tablet on the table, which someone was using before and, apparently, for some reason left, leaving the tablet on table. When finally the waitress came to our table, she was going to take our order from us, but we told her that we had not even been given a menu, this tablet lay on the table before we came here. She quickly brought us the second menu and we could check it. This time I took tempura sushi with shrimps, for dessert red velvet. My friend took a Kiev cake and a cocktail. Unfortunately, I was informed that the machine broke down, so neither latte nor cocoa is served today, so I took green tea.


We had to wait for our drinks this time but sushi, despite the fullness of the restaurant, came quickly. I'm not looking for real Japanese sushi in Estonia, because it's pointless (and my husband makes them for me anyway), so I'm trying out "non-standard" European versions. I liked sushi, crusty outside and cheesy inside. Good filling, the sushi does not fall apart. But the minus for me is the size of sushi, since it is impossible to put a whole piece in the mouth, it is necessary to bite off half first, which is unusual for me, since this is not a very good manner.

Immediately after the sushi waitress brought us desserts. I like red velvet and velvet in Mysushi I liked too, ate it all with pleasure. Since I adore the Kiev cake, I tried this dessert from a friend but, unfortunately, I did not like it at all, from Kiev cake there is only meringue, the taste is completely different ..
The waitress was polite, worked quickly.

Will I return here? Yes. I want to drink cup of caramel latte and try some more desserts, they look very appetizing :) And I also want to get here for lunch, I looked at the menu several times and it seemed very attractive, but I do not know when I'll get here at lunch time.
And one more bonus, which I did not know about, is free parking (1 hour). If we come to lunch, then will use take this opportunity :)

Restaurant review: PULL



We wanted to visit this restaurant from the spring and at the end of July we had an occasion: our wedding anniversary. Link: http://www.pull.ee/
I booked table in advance on the Internet, since we were with my husband and child, I mentioned that we would need a baby chair for feeding, they sent me an answer that they would take this moment into account.

My husband and I had a goal to try their Pull Grillfest dish, but it is made for 4 people, which is a lot for two of us, so I wrote to them with a question if they can make this dish for two and if so, it would be ready for our arrival, I was told the next day that it will be done for two and cooked for our arrival, very kindly :)

We arrived a little before the appointed time, we went in, after the entrance door there is a small staircase (it is necessary to take into account those who come with the stroller), the waiters welcome you at entrance. I said my name and we were offered two tables to choose, we took the table by the window. One waitress brought us a menu, asked what we wanted from drinks, then another waitress came up and offered us a baby chair (good and clean, by the way!).

All the waiters were polite and spoke Estonian and English. The waiters felt right when we wanted to make an order and immediately approached.

In addition we ordered vegetables for child (Auru-vege, asked without salt), carbonated water (Pull water, 1 € per 500 ml), beer, virgin Mojito (there is no in menu, they made it for me, Costs 8 €).

First they brought water, then bread with butter, then plates (by the way, they also did not forget for child) and after that our ordered dish arrived.


After 5 minutes they brought vegetables for the child, and then the drinks came. In the vegetable plate were: carrots, broccoli, asparagus. Vegetables had real taste, crunchy.


We got stomachs full with Grillfest, it is including different meat: duck, pork, beef, on the garnish three different salads, couscous and beans in a barbecue sauce. The meat was soft, juicy, tasty. Couscous is so tasty! Salads were fresh.

Since it was interesting to try desserts as well, we ordered them but we could not finish. We ordered Eton Mess and Chocolate-rosemary mousse, plus espresso.
Desserts also arrived quickly, then coffee arrived.
Desserts look interesting but not my favorite. Foam from the grenadine had too much flavor, it overshadowed everything else, vanilla ice cream was delicious, but for me too much vanilla. Well meringues are totally ok 😁 I tried the second dessert a bit, normal, but not in my taste :)

In general, we liked it. Would we return here? Yes. Especially I liked the opportunity to order Grillfest for two (the price is twice cheaper then) :)

Broneerisin lauda Interneti teel ning mainisin, et tuleme mina, mees ja laps, kellel on tarvis beebisöögitooli. Järgmisel päeval sain vastuse, et nad arvestavad sellega.

Meil oli konkreetne eesmärk proovida seal Pull Grillfest`i, kuid see on mõeldud 4-le inimesele, mis meile kahele jääks liiga suureks. Kirjutasin nende e-mailile küsimusega, kas oleks võimalik see teha kahele, kui jah, siis paluks, et see oleks meie tulekuks valmis. Sain ka kiire vastuse, et kõik tehakse. Väga meeldiv :)

Jõudsime kohale natukene enne broneeritud aega, restoranis on väike trepp (kes tulevad vankriga peavad sellega arvestama), sissepääsul tervitavad klienditeenindajad. Öeldes enda nimi, meile pakuti 2 lauda, valisime akna juures oleva lauda. Üks klienditeenindaja tõi meile menüüd ning küsis, mida sooviksime juua, teine aga küsis, kas sooviksime ka söögitooli lapsele (hea ja puhas kusjuures!).

Kõik klienditeenindajad olid viisakad, rääkisid eesti ja inglise keeles. Mulle tundus, et nad teavad, millal tahame midagi tellida või küsida ja kohe tulid lauda. Hea töö!

Lisaks meie ette tellitud Grillfestile, tellisime lapsele aurutatud juurviljad (auru-vege. Palusime soola mitte lisada), gaseeritud vett (Pull vesi. 1€ 500 ml eest), õlu, alkoholivaba Mojito (menüüs seda ei ole, tehti eritellimusel, maksis 8€).

Esimesena toodi vett lauale, seejärel leiba ja saia koos võiga, siis taldrikud (lapsele ka!), peale seda varsti tuli ka meie tellitud Grillfest.


5 minuti pärast toodi juurviljad lapsele, peale seda ka meie teisi jooke. Juurviljad (brokoli, porgand ja spargel) olid maheda maitsega, nagu juurviljad peaksid olema, krõbedad.


Grillfest`iga saime kõhud täis, selle sees on erinev liha: part, sealiha, veiseliha, lisandiks 3 salatit, kuskuss ja BBQ marinaadis oad. Kuskuss oli megamaitsev, mu lemmik! Salatid olid värsked.

Kuna oli huvitav proovida ka desserte, siis tellisime neid, kuid ei jaksanud kõik ära süüa. Desserdiks tellisime Eton Mess ja Šokolaadi-rosmariini mousse, juurde espresso.
Magustoidud tulid kiiresti, seejärel tuli ka kohv.
Desserdid näevad huvitavalt välja, kuid maitse ei olnud mu lemmik, kahjuks. Grenadiili vaht oli liiga tugeva maitsega, ma ei tundund teisi maitseid. Vaniljejäätis maitsev aga natukene liiga palju vaniljet seal sees, bessee on ok 😁 Teist desserti ma proovisin hästi natukene, oli ok, kuid mitte minu maitse :)

Kokkuvõteks meile meeldis. Kas tuleksime siia tagasi? Jah. Eriti meeldis võimalus tellida Grillfest`i kahele (hind ka poole vähem siis!) ja saada selle hea kraamiga kõhu täis :)

Restaurant review: Kitchen rõõm



Good morning! I will get distracted from the recipes today (I did not plan to become a food blogger at all :D) and write a short review about restaurant we visited a couple of days ago, located in Lasnamäe at P.Pinna 8 (link: https: //www.facebook. Com / kitchenroomresto /). Since I saw so many positive reviews, we decided to go and check it out. We visit Lasnamäe not that often and do not know eating places in there, but this time I knew where to go.
It can be a little tight with parking but in this case you can park near the police station. Waiter meets you at the entrance, offers to choose the table. We chose, sat down at the table and were immediately given a menu (there is no English menu, only Russian and Estonian). First we ordered drinks, we took soda water and non-alcoholic mojito (Virgin Mojito). Have asked to bring children's chair, as we could not find it ourselves.

In the beginning we wanted to order a lunch offer and a roasted lagman from the Uzbek menu, but it was not available, same as some other Uzbek dishes (as the waiter said, they were only being prepared at the moment), so we took two lunch offers (chicken sashlik in a Josper stove with baked potatoes and salad), Ajarski style khachapuri, grilled vegetables for the child (asked if there were any boiled potatoes / baked / boiled vegetables, but they did not have), there is one champignon and a piece of zucchini missing on the photo of the grilled vegetables :) I asked to bring black bread for the child, we were kindly given it (there was no other bread offered).

Despite the fact that restaurant was half full, food came pretty quickly, dishes were cleaned in right time. The food was delicious, especially we liked adjika for shashlik :) Khachapuri was tasty, just from the oven, mm! By the way, if you take grilled vegetables for child, then make sure that they do not put salt, I forgot to clarify that :) (for those who do not give salt to the children), I tried vegetables myself and it was delicious, my child ate them with pleasure :)


We decided to order "Pavlova" cake for dessert and free coffee was served with dessert. The dessert is beautiful, it tastes good, too, sweetness is perfect. We used a button on the table to ask for bill, waiter came quickly :) there were many waiters around.

A very nice bonus is a coupon for 6 € (20% of the bill), which can be used in 2 weeks without the minimum purchase amount, you can just come to have a free lunch :)
There is a children's play room with toys, a TV, a drawing table, outside there is a terrace with slides for children.
I hope that they will be resolve problem with English menu and in the menu will appear neutral products for children who have allergies to dairy products and products containing eggs :)
