Toddler recipe: red lentil soup

I liked cooking different dishes with red lentils so much that it appears quite frequent on my blog. But it's good, is not it?
I cooked this nice delicious soup for my child, who ate it with pleasure. 70% of the ingredients was from our garden :) It is perfect for adults, just add a little bit of spices :)
You can add potatoes for a thicker soup.

Lactose-, dairy-, milk protein-, egg-, flour-, sugar- and salt-free.

Ingredients:

- 1 garlic clove
- 1 small onion
- minced meat
- 1 piece of pumpkin
- zucchini
- 2/5 of red paprika
- 50 g of red lentils
- 7 medium tomatoes
- fresh spinach
- olive oil
- water

Preparation:

1) Peel the onion, garlic, pumpkin and zucchini.
2) Cut the onion, garlic, pumpkin, zucchini and paprika.
3) Put the saucepan on the fire, heat it a little (do not heat it too much), add olive oil and put onions and garlic, saute for a minute, stir constantly.
4) Add minced meat and saute it for a couple of minutes, so it is not pink anymore.
5) Rinse the lentils under cold water.
6) Add pumpkin, zucchini, paprika. Mix.
7) Grind the tomatoes with blender until smooth and add to the saucepan.
8) Add the lentils. If the liquid is not enough, then add water.
9) Bring the soup to a boil, reduce the heat to a minimum and simmer under the lid for about 30 minutes until the lentils become soft.
10) Turn off the heat and add spinach leaves, stir.

Recipe: sorrel soup and super easy flatbread with filling

Sorrel grows at full speed in summer garden, so its time to use it in cooking :) I really love sorrel soup, so today I cooked it from what was at home. You can also add carrots to the soup.
Since my parents brought a lot of sheep cheese from Croatia, I have to think about how to use it in food, because it has such a peculiar smell. The idea for flatbread came to mind .. The flatbreads are very simple in preparation (only 2 ingredients for dough), after roasting the dough becomes crispy, aromatic.

Sorrel soup ingredients:

- 2.5 L of water
- potatoes
- 1 onion
- 250-300 g of minced meat
- sorrel
- 2 eggs
- spices and seasonings

Preparation:

1) Peel and cut potatoes.
2) Pour the water in a pot, put the potatoes there and put on the maximum fire.
3) Peel and cut onions, add to water.
4) Form the balls from the minced meat with your hands and throw in the boiling water. Reduce fire to medium.
5) Cut sorrel. Cook the soup until potatoes are ready, then add sorrel to the soup. Add spices to taste.
6) Break the raw egg and add little by little to the soup, lightly mixing. Turn off the fire, the soup is ready.

Flatbread recipe:

- 300 g of flour
- 300 ml of boiling water
- filling

Preparation:

1) Put the flour in a bowl. Put the water to boil in the kettle and as soon as the kettle boils, immediately add water to the flour.
2) At the beginning, mix the dough with a spoon, then put glove on hand and knead the soft dough with a hand.
3) Cover the dough with a wet napkin and leave for 30 minutes.
4) Cut the dough into small pieces, roll them into a circle and lay out the filling (I had sheep's cheese, but you can put any cheese, a boiled egg with onions, mashed potatoes, roasted minced meat, etc.), then fold in half and close the edges.
5) Heat the oil in a frying pan (pour more oil) and fry flatbread on both sides until golden brown.
6) Lay out on a napkin to allow excess oil to stack.

Recipe: creamy salmon soup with spinach

I cook soups quite rarely, to be honest. I always thought that cooking soups takes a very long time. But is it true? Not really. Yesterday I prepared this soup for lunch, cooking took about 30-40 minutes and the result was very tasty! As I said before, now I am making dishes using spinach for every day. Today we have a spinach day again and I already think what to cook for dinner :) Try this recipe as well.
The amount of ingredients I write is approximate, since I do not weigh them and do everything by feeling. If water is too much, then pour it in the beginning of cooking.
I prepared cheese buns for soup, the recipe I will post here in the blog :) This time photos are made on the phone, because I cooked at my parents home and did not take camera with me.

Ingredients:

- 500 g of potatoes
- 1 leek
- 1 onion
- 1 carrot
- 4 L of water
- 150 g of processed cheese
- 150 ml of heavy cream
- 200-300 g of salmon (row)
- fresh spinach
- seasonings and oil for frying

Preparation:

1) Peel potatoes, carrot and onion.
2) Cut potatoes, onion and leek. Grate carrot.
3) Cut salmon fillet.
4) Put water to boil and add potatoes and leek to it.
5) Roast onion and carrot in a frying pan until golden.
6) Add onion with carrot to the potatoes and cook until the potatoes are ready.
7) Add processed cheese and heavy cream, cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese is completely dissolved.
8) Add salmon fillet and torn spinach with your hands, add your favorite spices (salt, pepper, red pepper, paprika etc.) and cook for another 5-7 minutes.

Simple and delicious soup!
